Animation Studios
Walt Disney
Founded by 1923 by Walt and Ray Disney. They animated their first feature film in 1937, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'. They moved on to create 'Pinnochio', 'Bambi', 'The Lion King', 'The Beauty and the Beast', 'The Little Mermaid', and to name a few more recent examples like 'Tangled', 'The Princess and the Frog', and 'Frozen'.

Warner Bros. Animation
Created in 1933, they created 'Looney Tunes' and 'Merrie Melodies'. Shut down in 1969 due to increased production cost and decline in popularity of animated shorts. Re-opened in 1980. They then created 'The Bugs Bunny Show', 'Bugs N' Daffy', 'Animaniacs', 'Pinky and the Brain', some DC properties like 'Batman: The Animated Series' and 'Superman: The Animated Series'. They also created 'Space Jam'  and 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action. Some films they have created are 'The Iron Giant' (Brad Bird and director), and 'The Logo Movie'.

Sunrise Inc.
Based in Japan for 43 years now. Has won more Animage Anime Grand Prix Prize an any other anime studio to date. Many of their notable animators have gone on to form their own production companies with six different studios being created so far. They have created 'Cowboy Bebop', 'Gundam', 'Sode Geass', 'InuYasha', 'Gintama', 'Tiger and Bunny', 'City Hunter', and 'Possessions'.

OLM Inc (Oriental Light and Magic)
Headquartered in Setagaya, Tokyo. Well known for created 'Pokemon'. Founded in 1994 to produce animated versions of Nintendo game Pocket Monsters. Now they have created 'Pokemon: The First Movie' and 'Pokemon: The Movie 2000'.

Toei Animation
Based in Japan, they started in 1956 when the studio acquired Japan Animated Films. The studio began adapting many popular manga for television. Has created 'Dragon Ball Z', 'Sailor Moon', 'One Piece', 'Saint Seiya', and 'Yu-Gi-Oh!'.

Fuzzy Door Productions
Created by Seth McFarland, they have made 'The Cleveland Show', 'American Dad!', 'Family Guy', 'Ted', 'Ted 2', and 'Bordertown'.

Rough Draft Studios
Founded by Greg Vanzo and Nikki Vanzo. They previously worked on 'The Ren and Stimpy Show'. Based in two locations in Glendale, CA, USA and one in Seoul, Korea. They created 'Beavis and Butt-Head', 'Funturama', 'Drawn Together' and the first volume of 'Star Wars: Clone Wars' in 2003. Also, they created 'Spongebob SquarePants', 'The Simpsons Movie' and 'Futurama' films.

South Park Studios
Founded by Trey Parker and Matt Stone in 1997. 20 years on television. They created feature-length South Park movie and video games. They also created 'Team America: World Police'.

Disney Television Animation
For TV, Disney created 'The Wuzzles' and 'Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears' (1985), 'DuckTales', 'Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers', TaleSpin'. They also adapated film features to TV with series like 'Addin' and 'Timon and Pumbaa'. Some original programs air on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. They also created (just a few) 'Kim Possible', 'Gravity Falls', and 'Phineas and Freb'.

William Street Productions
Based in Atlanta, GA, USA. In charge of animated and live-action shows on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. They are known for irreverent humor and outlandish spoofs. They've created 'Space Ghost Coast to Coast', 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force', 'The Venture Bros.', and 'Rick and Morty'

Cartoon Network Studios
Kid-friendly counterpart to William Street Productions. It started as a division of Hanna-Barbera but following the passing of William Hanna in 2001, it became a part of Warner Bros. Animation. They have many animation and some are 'Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends', 'Ben 10', 'Steven Universe', and 'Adventure Time'.

Laika Entertainment
Founded in 2005 and based in Portland, OR, USA. Known for claymation, they have created 'Kabo and the Two Strings', 'Coraline', 'ParaNorman', 'The Boxtrolls', 'Corpse Bride', 'King of California', and 'A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas'. Henry Selick (Nightmare before Christmas) is the supervising director.

Aardman Animation
Started in 1972 by Peter Lord and David Sproxton, they had Nick Park join in 1985, specializing in claymation. Known for 'Wallace and Gromit'.

Nickelodeon Animation Studio
They are known for 'Doug', 'Rugrats', 'The Ren and Stimpy Show', 'Legends of the Hidden Temple', 'Figure it Out', SpongBob SquarePants', 'Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius', 'Invader Zim', and 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'.

Sony Pictures Animation
Founded in 2002, they are known for 'Open Season', 'Surf's Up', 'Happy Feet', 'Coudy with a Chance of Meatballs', 'Arthur Christmas', and 'Hotel Transylvania'.

Blue Sky Studios
Based in Greenwich, CT, USA and founded by out of work animators from CGI effects company MAGI, this studio is a subsidiary of Twentieth Century Fox. In 1987-1997 they worked mainly in TV ads and feature films creating SFX. The focus changed to animation after Fox bought the studio and left SFX in 2002. Known for 'Ice Age', 'Robots', 'Horton Hears a Who', 'Rio', 'The Peanuts Movie', and 'Ferdinand'.

Illumination Entertainment
Founded in 2007, they are known for 'Despicable Me', 'Hop', 'The Lorax', 'Despicable Me 2', 'Minions', and 'The Secret Life of Pets'.

Dreamworks Animation
Founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Jefferey Katzenberg and David Geffen. This studio is now owned by Comcast which is owned by NBCUniversal. Known for 'Antz', 'Shrek' franchise, 'Madagascar' franchise, 'Kung Fu Panda' fanchise, 'How to Train your Dragon' franchise, and 'Trolls' franchise.

Pixar
Founded in 1979 when George Lucas recruited Ed Carmul to head Lucasfilm's Computer Division. They completed the "Genesis Effect" sequence for 'Star Treck II: The Wrath of Khan'. It's the first completely computer animated sequence in a feature film. John Lasseter joins the company in 1983. The Stained Glass Knight sequence in 'Young Sherlock Holmes' is the first fully animated 3D computer character in film. Steve Jobs purchases the Computer Division from George Lucas and establishes Pixar. Some movies include 'Toy Story', 'Cars', and 'A Bug's Life'.
