After showing the tutor what I was up to in class with my animation work, she showed me a really fast and cool way to add shadows

After a lot of trial and error, we got there in the end!

This didn't come through in the export (it looked cool too)

This does come through in the export (looks basically the same)

Both characters have shadows now.

I have been putting as much work as I can into the computer to sort out the timing, which would mean I could put it into After Effects and get well on the way. I look forward to how my work will look in the end.
