Comic Moodboard
I have created a Moodboard for my comic
Even though I didn't know about one of these stories when creating the bases of my story last and this year. These styles still are a large and great influence for my work as they all have aspects I would like to try and use their techniques.
I will now explain why I chose these different artist models
(I had no room in between the images to write words)
Steven Universe
- I really like how they colour their characters and scenes
- The shading and line-work is always
- I like how glow is shown with colour and lighting
- I like how the simplify the scenes features, e.g. Clouds and sky. Beautiful with low detail
- The colour palettes suit each different characters very well, bold and bright
ReLIFE
- I really like the style and colouring of the characters and scenes
- The expressions show more of who they are than their words
- It does a really good job or how they show what the characters are thinking, along with remembering events in the past
- The layout of each panel is really amazing and beautiful
- I like how they challenge the relationships we can see between the characters
- We (the reader) learn more about each character when the characters themselves don't
Lumine
- Introduced to this story this year, after I created my story/characters
- Realized the characters relationship is similar to both of mine (Oliver and Silver)
- One cute clumsy character is paired with a serious wise character
- I love how the characters are drawn to show that they are children (people get this wrong lots)
- The shading and colouring is really good and can come to use
A Silent Voice
- One character is mute, meaning they struggle to speak words
- I really like how they show this character communicate with sign language
- The main character 'X' 's people out of his life. I really like how they do this with a 'X'
- This style is mostly line-work and little shading to indicate colour reader than shape
- The layout of the comic is really cool and tidy within panels
