Love is War
A fellow student has introduced me to a cute anime called Love is War

Love is war is based of a manga. It is very stylized and cute with how they create characters, settings and also how it presents what the characters are thinking/thinking. I watched a short animated clip from the end credits called Chika's Dance, after episode 2. You can watch this clip on Youtube

I love this animated clip, it is clearly using a reference of someone in real life dancing this dance themselves and then (probably) rotoscoping on top of it to get the most realistic movements from character and outfit when dancing. It is so cute. I love it. Chika is a lot like me is personality, outward actions and happiness.
I also watched a volleyball clip from the show about the main male character trying to learn how to be at least at a basic level of playing with volleyball (he is so very uncoordinated he smacks his face instead many times). This clip can be seen from YouTube.

I saw a lot of different yet amazing techniques when the animators were creating this scene. I saw blur effect, bold lighting and colouring to change the feel of the clip, changing between 1 to 3 toned colouring, taking fine linework from the manga and even classic movie effects/ideas to enhance the comedy of this clip/scene (like the black screening in e.g. Western showdowns films). Overall a very enjoyable scene that I have learned a lot from in many different ways.
I haven't watched Love is War, but I think I will be putting this anime/manga onto my to watch hit list.
